AKP: Phnom Penh October 25, 2005Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia appealed to authorities and people at all levels make concerted effort to immediately minimize the problem of Big-Small brothers at school and liquidate the use of addicted drugs among the youth.
Addressing the annual meeting of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on Tuesday, Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen laid stress on the importance of educating the youth.
"The problem of the addicted drugs and the Big-Small brothers at school is new and we need to work together to minimize it before we completely eliminate it ", the Prime Minister said, adding that the problems was not excessive if compared it between 3.5 million pupils and students and the dimension of the problem.
Samdech Hun Sen said the effort would yield good result not only with participation of teachers but also that of families and society, responsible for educating the young.
"The addicted persons are not criminal but they are victims. They may sometimes be led to using drugs without knowing certain drugs", Samdech Hun Sen pointed out. (ends)
