Deputy Prime Minister Holds Talk with US Ambassador

Cambodian deputy Prime Minister Samdech Norodom Sirivudh called on the United States of America to help explore oil mines in Cambodia's territorial waters.
Samdech Norodom Sirivudh, who is also co-Minister of Interior made the suggestion at an audience on October
17, 2005 given to the newly-appointed US ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Josseph A. Mussoneli.
The deputy Prime Minister expressed thanks to the United States of America for helping Cambodia over the past years and highly valued the outcome of the cooperation between Cambodia and the States as well as the that of implementing the policy of decentralization and deconcentration, and the joint effort in combating terrorism.
The current political development in Cambodia was also part of the discussion.(ends)
