Cambodia will send 22 athletes to next month’s Asian Games in Guangzhou,
China, according to Chinese News Agency Xinhua.
Vath Chamroeun, secretary general of Cambodia’s National Olympic Committee, told Xinhua on Thursday that the 22 athletes will be competing in eight sports at the 16th Asian Games.
Guangzhou is the second Chinese city to host the Asian Games after Beijing staged the event in 1990.
At the 25th SEA Games held in Vientiane, Laos last year, Cambodian won 40 medals and ranked eighth among the 11 participating countries.--AKP
