Newly-Published Khmer Orthography Dictionary

Cambodian deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sok An called on all Cambodian people and Khmer language-educated persons to abide by the Khmer literature as defined and written in the newly-published dictionary on Khmer
Orthography and the Samdech Sankh Reach Chuon Nat Khmer Dictionary.
"The Cambodian government is trying to uphold Khmer language of Khmer Mon origin so that our indigenous people of ethnic minorities particularly at northeastern part of the country can use the Khmer language to record their tradition and culture ", said H.E. Sok An , presiding over the closing ceremony of the Second National Conference on Research and Development of Khmer language on October 18, 2005.
The National Conference adopted a 20-point recommendation on how to coordinate Bali and Sanskrit languages for Khmer and the creation of a task force to develop a computer software for Khmer version. (ends)
